The Story

Original Item. Only One Available. This is a signed print of “Rangers Lead the Way 6 June 1944” by James Dietz. This example does not appear to be signed by the author, James Dietz, but looks to have been privately signed by roughly 36 different rangers in many different colors of ink and styles, so this was likely taken around to be signed by surviving rangers during the 1990s and 2000s, and the print shows the heavy wear to support this. This print is not numbered.

The print is signed by at least 36 different men, some of whom include Rich Murch, Joe Bernaidi IG, James Stevens Co. I 3rd BA 475, Chuck Van Gunter 475th, Jim Fletcher, Henry J. Caulfield, Clyde E. Bay, and many more.

This is an outstanding research project for someone to undertake, identifying each and every ranger on this print. The print measures 24 x 35½” and has some heavy damage including some minor material loss on the bottom and some tearing along the edges. There is also heavy creasing in places.

This is a tremendous print, ready to be framed and displayed!
