This is a post WWII 40mm VOG-25 grenade that was designed for use with the following grenade launchers: GP-25 and GP-30 under-barrel grenade launchers mounted on AK-47 and AK-74 assault rifles GP-95 under-barrel grenade launcher mounted on 9A-91 compact assault rifle RG-6 and "AVALANCHE" revolver grenade launcher.
Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are not considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.
It is faintly marked on the body:

The head of the grenade is removable in order to inspect the interior, which still contains its fragmentation sleeve!
