Original Soviet WWII Excellent Rifleman Sharpshooter Sniper Badge - Maker-Marked

Original Items. Only One Lot Available. This is a lovely original Soviet WWII badge, an “Excellent Rifleman” otherwise known as the Sniper Badge. It retains its enamel well and is maker-marked on the reverse.

The Rifleman badge is of the second variation, featuring a "square" top with narrow shield, and 5 wide scrolls in the top ornament not forming a triangle in the middle. Characteristically square font of the writing and wide profile of the sickle. The center medallion is relatively flat. The back washer retains the maker’s markings. A great example, measuring 1 3/8 x 1 3/4”.

This is a great example of a scarce Soviet badge, ready for further research and display.
