The Story

Original Item. Only One Available. The TSh-4 is the once Soviet and today primarily Russian tankman's well-known combat helmet. It represents an indispensable headwear of literally every Soviet/Russian combat vehicle crewman or operator and is a well known as well as probably the main recognition symbol (a sort of a "trademark") of all Soviet, Eastern bloc, Warsaw pact and today post-Soviet tankmen as well as of anyone else using any kind of Soviet armor and their combat vehicles in general.

This is a lovely WWII era example, in the scarce tan variant with a lovely plaid lining. There are no markings we can find, which is common to find on these wartime examples.

The helmet is in fair service-used condition but does have some damage, including very heavy rust staining across the helmet. It is missing the button on the back that would secure the back flap. One of the straps appears torn off, and the double loop metal buckles have heavy oxidation. The interior retains much of its cushion and tie-strings. It is roughly a Size 7.

A lovely example, ready for further research and display.
