Original Spanish Civil War Era 1940 General Infantry Academy Cadet Dagger with Scabbard and Hanger Chain

Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very scarce 1940-period Spanish dagger for a cadet of the General Infantry Academy. It bears a mark with the inscription ARTILLERÍA TOLEDO (Toledo Artillery) and the factory's coat of arms. This is a very well known factory worldwide.

The grip is twisted wire-wrapped bone, the wire of which is well-retained and still tight. The crossguard is gorgeous and bears the Spanish coat of arms. The crossguard ends are lion’s heads, and the pommel is a crown. 

The 15” blade is in good order and the blade buffer is still intact. Despite this, the hilt is rather loose to the blade.

The 15 ¾” scabbard has the same interesting etching on both sides of the drag. The chain hanger is still intact, rare to see.

A scarce Spanish dagger, ready for further research and display.
