The Story
Original Items. Only One Lot Available. Hat cords are a decorative accessory worn on several pieces of uniform head gear during the Civil War, including the Hardee Hat, the Campaign Hat, and the Slouch. The cords are to sit on the bottom of the crown, on top of the brim.
This is a fantastic lot of three unissued Civil War hat cords for three different branches of service. They include one red worsted wool artillery hat cord, one yellow / gold wool cavalry hat cord, and one blue infantry hat cord. All are in worn condition with some minor material loss in the tassels, but nothing serious.
A great lot of scarce hat cords, ready for use on your Civil War shakos, or for display on their own.
