Original U.S. Cold War MC-140 Helicopter Support Team Helmet with Face Plate by Gentex - Dated 1982

Original Item. Only One Available. The MC140 was a family of helmets made by Gentex for the USMC in 1981:- MC140A (Amphibious Crew), MC140 (Helicopter Support), MC140C (Artilleryman - no Comms), MC140B (Artilleryman - Comms), MC140D (Motorcyclist - Comms) and MC140E (Vehicle Comms). The MC140D was made for fast attack vehicle crew including dune buggy crew and motorcyclists. 

This is an outstanding example of an original MC-140 helmet meant for use by helicopter crews. The helmet retains its original data tag:

This denotes a manufacture date of March 1982, one of the earliest manufactured examples. The helmet is in amazing condition, the nicest we have offered, and the first we’ve had with the original face plate intact. The interior mask is also intact, marked to Wilson as a model AR 700.
