The Story

Original Item. Only One Available. This is a really tremendous TC2002 Gentex Kevlar helmet in the popular “Gunfighter Cut”. These helmets were made primarily by Gentex and MSA for the US Military where they have seen use with various special forces groups. This example is fitted with an original Surefire Light as well as a Night Vision Goggle mount to the front. The liner is complete and the helmet is dated 08/07 for August 2007. This helmet came to us with the provenance that it was worn by a member of the US Marine Corps Air Naval Gun Liaison Company (ANGLICO) during his 2008 Afghanistan Deployment, but we do not have the name of the soldier who wore it.

In 2008, ANGLICO began supporting combat operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. A detachment from 2nd ANGLICO was sent as part of SMAGTF-A, and in 2009, the brigade platoon from 2nd, followed by a detachment from 1st ANGLICO and one from 3rd, joined the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade.

The helmet is marked with serial number W06137, and retains its original manufacturer label:

GENTEX CORPORATION TBH-II H
DOM: 08/07
97427/06D12466-10F3C MED LOT NO. -12A-
CONTRACT NO: M67001-07-F-1469

The liner is in great condition as are the accessories, with velcro pads still intact on the dome. A great example of a scarce helmet, ready for further research and display.
