Original U.S. Indian Wars Cavalry M1874 Dyer .45-70 Cartridge Box by Watervliet Arsenal

Original Item. Only One Available. This is a lovely Indian Wars M1874 Dyer cartridge box used by the U.S. Cavalry. This example show great service use and is still very solid. It is faintly marked on the reverse side to WATERVLIET ARSENAL. 

The box features riveted belt loops on the reverse, and a wool lined inner pocket. The leather is good, with some crazing in areas. The stitching is still tight, and the securing knob is well-retained.

A very scarce box in great shape. Comes ready for further research and display.
