The Story
Original Items. Only One Lot Available. This is an extremely scarce pair of 18th century shot bags with bone spouts and wooden plugs. The bags are all of lovely construction with leather bodies. One of the plugs has an interesting clothspin-style design, and both are of the period.
The first bag is small, measuring 4½” including the crude wooden plug. The side of the bone spout actually has a museum catalog number painted on, a nice detail.
The second bag is much longer with very worn leather that is now a bit raw. It is 8½” long with a modern repair.
This is a great pair, rare to find in any condition. Ready to display.
