Original Items. Only One Set Available. This is a very peculiar but entirely original set of United States Marine Corps marked shoe trees. The trees are small and painted blue, measuring roughly 10 ⅝” long, 3 ¼” wide, and 4” tall. They are marked for Size 6 1/2C.
The trees are stamped:
THE PHILADELPHIA
LAST
& PATTERN CO.
PHILA., P.A.
2-24-1911
U.S.M.C.
This denotes a manufacture date of February 24th, 1911 by the Philadelphia Last & Pattern Company. These were likely made in conjunction with or for the USMC Philadelphia Depot. There are holes on the top which were likely for handles that are now gone.
A very interesting but entirely genuine set of Marine Corps shoe trees. The only set we could find any existence of, ready for further research and display!
