Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. William Howard Taft (September 15, 1857 – March 8, 1930) served as the 27th president of the United States from 1909 to 1913 and the tenth chief justice of the United States from 1921 to 1930. He is the only person to have held both offices.
This is a tremendous walking cane made as a souvenir piece for during his 1908 Presidential Campaign, with the handle being a bust of Taft. The cane measures 33” overall, but the handle is a bit loose and could use some glue or wedging material to get it to stick better.
The cane was originally painted black, with almost all of that paint now gone. The handle also shows heavy wear as shown.
A very lovely presidential cane for one of the most popular and well-known presidents. Comes ready for further research and display.
