Original Items. Only One Lot Available. This is a tremendous lot of Pre-WWI and WWI field gear, many pieces of which are unit-marked. This group includes 8 items, all in varying conditions. This is a great opportunity to fill out an American soldier display.
The lot includes:
- Early M1904 First Aid Pouch unit-marked to Battery C, 5th Field Artillery, 1st Division. Extremely combat-torn unit, pouch is stenciled 24 twice on interior. The belt hook is now gone, and one of the two grommets is ripped out. Great piece. Both snaps work.
- Very Rare M1904 First Aid Pouch dated 1909 with 125 / C marking inside likely for Company C, 125th Infantry Regiment, 32nd Division. Very rare unit. The belt hook is gone. Heavily service worn. Both snaps work.Â
- Very Early M1910 Meat can pouch with strap attachment grommets, unit marked to front with Field Artillery cannons, 69/201? Interesting. Heavily stained.
- Early RIA 1915-Dated Eagle snap M1910 canteen cover with faint stencil for 16th Infantry, 1st Division to front. No canteen or cup. Very rare combat-torn unit.
- Early RIA 1909-Dated Entrenching tool cover unit-marked to Company D, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Division. Strap is still retained but stiff. Very rare unit and hanger still works well.Â
- RIA 1909-dated M1904 haversack with crossed cannons, 8/36, over NY marking. Great condition.Â
- Early Eagle Snap Medical officer's belt, two long pouches and two small pouches. Dated June 1918. There are some very faint markings to the back, one of which is a large stenciled unit or name marking. Needs some close examination.
- M1907 Rimless Eagle Snap Dismounted Rifle .30-06 Cartridge Belt by MILLS. No unit marking on this example. Some heavy fraying of one of the pouches.
A fantastic lot of early field gear, ready for further research and display!
