$118.50The Story
Original Item. Only One Available. This is a tremendous Revolutionary War era bleeder in great condition with part of its original case. These were used to bleed patients to “relieve stress on the heart”. The bleeder measures 3¾ x 1”.
This example shows clear crude construction evident of this period. There are two interior blades and one scalpel, the end of which protrudes from the bottom of the case. The original case is missing the lid but the set fits inside perfectly.
The best example of a bleeder we’ve seen, and certainly the earliest. Ready to display.
