Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a really tremendous piece of Navy history, which we believe to date to the Spanish-American War era. This Navy sailor’s duffel bag is beautifully painted with an old Man-o-War style vessel within a sailor’s knot rope frame. It is signed CLARK USN at the bottom. The back of the bag is stenciled WTC ‘RED’, so the sailor is W.T. Clark, with the nickname ‘Red’.
The duffel bag is of older construction and has a large amount of period repairs of holes, which have held up very well. When laid out, the bag measures 19 x 32”.
A great piece of equipment, ready for further research and display.
