Original Item. Very Few Available. We are offering a fantastic selection of original action covers for the American Krag-Jørgensen Rifle which saw heavy usage during the Spanish-American War. All examples are heavily service-worn, with all retaining original markings.
Most of the covers just have the Rock Island Arsenal marking, but a few examples have initials or names, and a few have the rifle number it was associated with stenciled to the exterior or interior.
Some of them retain their original leather tie strap, but some of them are missing the strap. They all retain the marking PLACE OVER COCKING PIECE to show the soldier how to apply the cover. Each example has heavy wear and some have staining, fraying to the material, and loss of stitching, but they are all fantastic service-worn covers, perfect for display with your Krag!
This is the first time we’ve offered these difficult-to-find breech covers, and they certainly will not last very long. Get one before they’re all gone!
