The Story

Original Item. Only One Available. This is a tremendous example of a Vietnam War “Duck Hunter” camouflage poncho liner, used extensively during the early war. These were mostly issued to advisors in the early stages of US involvement in Vietnam, specifically the 7th Special Forces Group.

The liner measures roughly 68 x 80” and does retain what was once a tag, which has now faded and is no longer legible. All tie-strings are retained on the liner, and the material has held up stupendously well. There is some staining in areas, but nothing extensive.

From what we’ve read, these came into use after the big troop build up in 1965. This example was likely dated around 1962-1964.

A really great example, ready for further research and display!
