The Story
Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice example of a U.S. Vietnam War era set of Custom Made Cast Aluminum Brass Knuckles, used for close combat in the field. This set is very crude and lightweight, meant to fit your four fingers without the need for finger holes. As they were more lightweight than brass, they may have been easier to use, not requiring as much force to move, but still protecting the fingers. These were often cast aboard large ships, who necessarily had small foundries and metalworkers needed to effect repairs on the various parts of a ship. Compared to their usual work, making cast metal knuckles was relatively simple.
They are not perfect, but would have gotten the job done. They measure approximately 4 3/8” x 1 3/4", and would make a great display piece.
