Original U.S. Vietnam War Era Legion of Merit Medal Set - Legionnaire, Officer, Commander, and Chief Commander - All Classes

Original Item: Only One Available. The Legion of Merit is a military award of the United States Armed Forces that is given for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services and achievements. The decoration is issued to members of the eight uniformed services of the United States as well as to military and political figures of foreign governments.

This is a great Vietnam War era set of all four classes of the Legion of Merit. The set includes the Legionnaire medal with ribbon, the Officer medal with ribbon and devices on both the medal and ribbon, the Commander neck order, and the Chief Commander badge. The back of the Chief Commander badge is marked UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

The set is all in good condition but the strap of the neck order shows heavy wear and minor separation. There is some heavy verdigris and foam residue on the back of the badge and medals.

A great complete set, ready for further research and display.
