Original U.S. Vietnam War Military Police MP Leather Belt & Holster Rig with Pouches by French - Dated 1968

During the Vietnam War, Military Police (MPs) were crucial for maintaining order, security, and law enforcement for U.S. forces, performing duties such as traffic control, base security, criminal investigations, and convoy escorts. MPs also engaged in direct combat support, including security for vital installations, and played a significant role in defeating attacks during the 1968 Tet Offensive.

This is an outstanding Vietnam War Military Police belt rig consisting of the belt, M1911 Pistol holster, handcuff pouch, baton holder, and a first aid pouch.

The baton holder is marked FRENCH / 1968 to the reverse. The holster is maker-marked BUCHEIMER on the reverse. The first aid pouch is marked BUCHEIMER 1967. The handcuff pouch is unmarked. There is also a cross-strap, making this a great complete set.
