Original Item. Only One Available. This is a wonderful opportunity to add an original 1917 patent dated Pistol Lanyard to fit your M1911! It is to attach a lanyard, (long piece of rope) so if your sidearm fell out of your holster or someone tried to take it, it would remain attached to you. This was standard in the “old days” when holsters were not form fitting or had good retention. Lanyards are actually still in use today with the Military’s sidearms.

The lanyard is in good service-used shape with some staining and verdigris on the metal components. It’s stamped PAT. FEB-20-17 for a patent date of February 20th, 1917. Perfect for WWI issue.
