Original Item. Only One Available. This is a lovely patriotic motif clock which depicts sailors of the Navy standing atop cannons below what appear to be Canadian flags with a sun & bulldog motif at the top. Below the clock is a beaver and shield with what appears to be the Union Jack over a sun. At the bottom is the phrase WHAT WE HAVE WE HOLD. We’re unsure why a Commonwealth clock was manufactured in the U.S., but that is what it appears to be.
The clock face is marked NEW HAVEN / U.S.A. and MADE BY THE NEW HAVEN CLOCK CO. U.S.A.. The back of the cast piece is marked COPYRIGHT / 1915 WARNER. The back of the clock has a wind-up and the clock still appears to function, although we do not guarantee functionality.
The clock measures roughly 13” tall and 9” wide.
A very nice WWI piece, ready for further research and display.
