Original Item: Only One Set Available. Totally inert and demilitarized according to BATF guidelines with hollow body and inert fuse. This piece of ordnance cannot be converted to an explosive device and is not available for export.

This is a genuine World War Two dated 40mm Bofors gun round with markings. The round bears a 1945 date on the bottom of the casing. The round measures approximately 17 3/4" long.

The band on the side of the round reads LOT 0201-23-1942 F.A.-40MM MK II T.

The Bofors 40 mm gun, often referred to simply as the Bofors gun, is an anti-aircraft autocannon designed in the 1930s by the Swedish arms manufacturer AB Bofors. It was one of the most popular medium-weight anti-aircraft systems during World War II, used by most of the western Allies as well some captured systems being used by the Axis powers. A small number of these weapons remain in service to this day, and saw action as late as the Persian Gulf War.
