The poster is unframed and has some tearing along the original fold creases from when it was originally shipped to where it would be displayed.

This poster was designed by Aaron Otto Fischer and printed by the United States Government Printing Office in Washington, DC, dated 1943. The poster shows a dead sailor in the water along a beach with the caption, "a careless word... / A NEEDLESS LOSS."

The Poster has been folded, as it was originally for mailing to various government locations around the country. The folds have some tearing at the edges, especially at the center. Good condition with almost full color retention.
