The Story

Original Item. Only One Available. This 1944 dated Army Officer table top fold out desk with original paint is in overall fine condition. Drawers function and hinges operate smoothly. This example is missing the top left drawer and typewriter. This is a wonderful portable mobile desk. The desk retains its brass oval data plate which reads:

STOCK NO. 26-9-194
TENT SPEC. CO D. -1018
CONT. NO. W.H.-009 QM-3609
DATED 12-22-44
HARTMANN TRUNK COMPANY

The trunk measures 20 ½” x 15 ¾” x 14 ¼” when closed. It is stenciled 641 on the lid with 1077th written on the side. The trunk itself retains its original key which is still in the front lock. The leather carrying straps are heavily worn, and we would not recommend carrying it by these straps, as they break very easily.

A great service-used example, just missing the top shelf and typewriter. Comes ready for further research and display.
