Original U.S. WWII 1944 Dated USMC Musette Bag by Boyt with “Frogskin” Poncho and Partial Shelter-Half

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a well-worn and field-repaired example of an original USMC marked musette bag. The musette bag is a scarce item that is part of the Marine Corps 782 gear. Light tan canvas construction, with slightly darker OD Green #3 canvas trim. It is U.S.M.C. marked under the flap. It is complete with proper shoulder strap and sliding canvas shoulder supports. This unique piece of equipment can be worn as a knapsack or shoulder bag, and is maker marked and dated on the inside:

The musette bag has some tearing and holes across its length with some field repairs. The inside of the musette bag contains an original Marine Corps “Frogskin” Poncho which is folded and heavily stiffened, and roughly half of a Marine Corps shelter half which has been cut in half. There is also a small double grenade canvas pouch set with straps, heavily worn with verdigris. 

A very nice set of items with some heavy damage, but good material to fill out your Marine display.
