Original U.S. WWII 40mm Bofors Gun Round with Original Clip - Inert

Original Item: Only One Set Available. Totally inert and demilitarized according to BATF guidelines with hollow body and inert fuses. This piece of ordnance cannot be converted to an explosive device and is not available for export.

This is a genuine World War Two 40mm Bofors gun round in a clip. The round is not dated that we could find but is marked on the driving band MK 2-10-H LOT 703. The round has great red, yellow, and green paint and makes for a fantastic display. The projectile measures approximately 17 3/4" long. The clip the round is in is stamped with an A but there aren’t any other markings. 

The Bofors 40 mm gun, often referred to simply as the Bofors gun, is an anti-aircraft autocannon designed in the 1930s by the Swedish arms manufacturer AB Bofors. It was one of the most popular medium-weight anti-aircraft systems during World War II, used by most of the western Allies as well some captured systems being used by the Axis powers. A small number of these weapons remain in service to this day, and saw action as late as the Persian Gulf War.
