Original Items. One-of-a-Kind Group. This is the Purple Heart Medal, dog tag, and patch grouping of Staff Sergeant Theodore W. Gula, Company M, 264th Infantry Regiment, 66th Infantry Division, and later HQ Company, 3rd Battalion, 330th Infantry Regiment, 83rd Infantry Division. Gula was wounded in action in Northern France near the end of the war.
The group includes:
- Gula’s Purple Heart Medal in its original presentation case with ribbon and lapel pin. Also includes extra lengths of ribbon.Â
- Gula’s dog tag with serial number 31343147.
- Two 66th Infantry Division patches with subtle differences. Great examples.
- Extract from Service Record, has tearing along creases but shows his unit and other info. Was from Meriden, Connecticut.Â
- August 27th, 1945 copy of Black Panther 66th ID newspaper.
- Hand baggage tag with Gula’s information after he was transferred to the 330th IR, 83rd ID.
- Customs paperwork.
- Minuteman’s Guide to Linz, Austria.Â
- Large 25 ½ x 35” map of Linz, Austria.
