Original Item. Only One Available. This is a good WWII Army Regulation Officer’s uniform jacket named by word-of-mouth to Lieutenant John Allen, 713th Bombardment Squadron, 448th Bombardment Group. We haven’t been able to identify this specific pilot, but there are several places to check, including the American Air Museum website.
The uniform jacket has an AAF patch on the left shoulder, US & AAF officer’s collar insignia, and one 1st Lieutenant bar on the right shoulder. Over the left breast pocket is a 3-place ribbon bar with the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters, and the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign medal with three stars. Over this is a great set of Sterling or Sterling-plated pilot’s wings. There is no name we could find.
A good uniform with a loose identification, ready to display.
