$88.50The Story
Original Item. Only One Available. This is a lovely & hard-to-find WWII officer’s garrison cap for a Major in the Airborne Infantry, that being either the Parachute Infantry or Glider Infantry. There is a period-applied Paratroop/Glider patch on the left side, with officer black/gold piping on the cap.
The sweatband of this example is torn in spots but still intact. The silk lining is stamped with laundry number L0174. Possibly the enlisted number of the officer before his promotions. There is no size tag, but it’s roughly 7.
A great example, ready for further research and display.
