Original U.S. WWII Army Air Forces Restricted Information File Lot - Radio Operators, Bombardiers, & Pilots - Extremely Rare

Original Items. Only One Lot of Three Available. This is a fantastic lot of great “Restricted” Information File books, which were made up and revised multiple times during the war. The books give an overview of the work, responsibilities, and intricacies of each of the professions. The three included are the Bombardiers’ Information File (BIF), the Pilots’ Information File, and the Radio Operators’ Information File (ROIF). These were designed in comic book-like styles for easy comprehension. They are all roughly 8 ½ x 11”.

The Bombardiers’ Information File (BIF) is the March 1945 Revision, and has great information, illustrations, and diagrams about the job of a Bombardier.

The Radio Operators’ Information File (ROIF) is the June 1945 Revision and has great information, illustrations, and diagrams about the job of a Radio Operator. It provides essential information on radio operation, navigation, and flight engineering.

The Pilots’ Information File is the May 1st, 1945 Revision, with every revision listed on the interior cover. This example shows great period use, and we found on the interior a RESTRICTED document folded up, typed at the HEADQUARTERS ARMY AIR FORCES 8TH AAF BASE UNIT (OFFICE OF FLYING SAFETY) dated March 27th, 1946. It is an Emergency travel pass. This is a fantastic manual.
