Original U.S. WWII B-17 Boeing Flying Fortress Cowl Flaps Control Plate by Gladden Products Division

Original Item: Only One Available. This is just amazing, a genuine vintage World War Two Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress Cowl Flaps control plate, complete with still-functional switches. Cowl flaps are used to adjust the air flow through the engine to cool it properly. On the ground they would be open full to maximize the air cooling the engine. They would be mostly closed at higher altitudes at cruising speed.

The plate measures 10¾ x 4 x 3¾” and retains its original manufacturer information:
