The Story
Original Item. Only One Available. This is an outstanding sealed can of liquid vesicant detector paint. This paint was commonly used by U.S. paratroopers as a method of camouflaging their helmets. When the normally brownish green paint would come into contact with chemical weapons it would turn pinkish red - warning the troops of the presence of gas. Although the contents are still liquid, we can make no guarantees regarding the functionality of the paint.
The can has 10 5 / 42 embossed on the lid, which may denote a date of 1942. This example is in great shape and it appears to be unopened. There is still a lot of the liquid inside.
Comes ready for further research and display.
