Original U.S. WWII Civil Defense Air Raid Warden Sign & Briefcase of Air Raid Warden Glenn Jordon of Cuyahoga County, Ohio

Original Items. One-of-a-Kind Group. This is an outstanding set including a 9 x 24” Air Raid Warden Report Office sign and the briefcase of Air Raid Warden Glenn Jordan of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, with all his original paperwork, certificates, armbands, and more.

The sign reads:

It’s made from particle board. The briefcase measures 13½ x 12½ x 2” and has the Civil Defense Air Raid Warden insignia embossed on both sides. The interior has some great material including a certificate qualifying Jordan as an Air Raid Warden, Dated November 30th, 1942. He certainly spent a lot of time in this position!

There are also 2 armbands, Air Raid precaution leaflets, and two First Aid Indexes which folds out and provides great information on first aid in emergency situations. There are several other documents and bits of ephemera, great material!
