The Story
Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very rare totally original M1916 holster, made by Walsh Harness Co., of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in very nice condition. It is marked WALSH / 45 on the back, and embossed U S on the flap, indicating that this was a military issue holster. Walsh is a very rare maker, as they only manufactured 25,000 holsters during WWII.
The leather is very dark brown. No major damage to the leather, all stitches still intact, all brass parts still present with a bit of verdigris, and a steel WW2 style belt clip. The leather is still supple as well. There is a small fragment of the leg tie down retained. Just perfect for a high grade WWII issue 1911 .45 pistol.
