Original U.S. WWII M2 Jungle Medical Aid Kit with Contents by Kadin - Dated 1944

Original Item. Only One Available. This is an extremely scarce WWII Jungle Medical kit complete with its original contents. The pouch is in excellent condition and is marked KADIN 1944.

The kit includes:

- The pouch dated 1944
- 1 band-aid.
- Mild Tincture Iodine, open but appears to still contain iodine.
- First Aid Battle Dressing Sterilized Camouflaged Carlisle model. Dated 1944.
- Small tube of pills with cotton still inside. Pills are bright yellow with a W on one side.
- Bottle of Insect Repellent, full. By Skol Company.
- Bottle of Water Purification tablets Halazone.

This is an incredibly scarce set for a medic in the PTO during World War II. Comes ready for further research and display.

The M-2 version of the Jungle Kit replaced the M-1 type which was found to be rather unpractical, mostly out of reach, and too large. The present Kit was introduced in 1944, and proved an immediate success with the troops (both Army and Marines would use it); its Container hooked into the eyelets of either the Pistol or Cartridge Belts, was within easy reach of the wearer, and could be opened or closed by two press studs; contents were sometimes modified by the owner, depending on his personal taste and/or foresight. The M-2 Individual Medical Jungle Kit was only manufactured in olive-drab canvas; it was supplied to each soldier fighting in jungle areas.
