The Story

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a fantastic example of an Officer’s Eisenhower “Ike” Jacket. This uniform jacket was worn by a Lieutenant & Later Captain Kelshaw, Serial Number O-568877, who was a pilot with the Airborne Troop Carriers. We couldn’t find much on Kelshaw, but with this information, he shouldn’t be difficult to identify. This is a wonderfully attractive Ike jacket, with a gorgeous bullion Airborne Troop Carrier patch.

The jacket has a gorgeous bullion Airborne troop carrier patch on the left sleeve, an Army Air Forces patch on the right sleeve, with Captain’s bars on each shoulder board. There are US & AAF Collar insignia, and a lovely Sterling Pilot’s wing set above the left breast pocket. There are no maker or size markings in the jacket we could find, and under the interior flap there is the inscription:
