Original U.S. WWII Normandy-Recovered Airborne Relic Lot - 17 Parachute Hook Fragments & Mess Kit Bowl

Original Items. One-of-a-Kind Set. This is a great set of original WWII Airborne paratrooper relics recovered at Normandy, France. They include 17 Parachute hook fragments and the heavily oxidized bowl of a Mess kit. We were told these items came from the site, but we have no paperwork or provenance to back this up.

There are seventeen different parachute hooks & hook fragments. Some of the hooks retains some rigging, but most are just the heavily oxidized hook pieces on their own. The mess kit piece is heavily torn apart and has several very sharp fragments sticking out, so be careful when handling this. The handle is partially retained but very oxidized.
