Original U.S. WWII Religious Serviceman’s Kit with Rosary and “Letter on a Record”

Original Items. Only One Available. This is a lovely lot of Religious-related items used by an American serviceman during World War II, including a “Serviceman’s Kit” which has a “Devotions Under the Flag” Booklet and a small cross made from psalms.

The lot includes:
- “The Service Man’s Kit” with an integral book and small psalm cross. There is a small sheet discussing the Rosary or Decade Ring, and also in the kit was a small plastic pendant and a Lutheran Chaplain pendant worn as a necklace. This would tell medics to fetch a Lutheran chaplain if the soldier needed last rites.
- Catholic rosary in fair service-worn condition with “made in Mexico” tag.
- “A Letter on a Record” in the original sleeve, “Merry Christmas” from Tony to Elsie, Edna, and Maxine. These were put together by the National Catholic Community Service, and would allow a soldier to send a voice message home to their families during the war. This one appears used but due to the crazing in the finish, we doubt it would work now. About the size of a 45.
