Original U.S. WWII Trench Art Lighter made from MkII Pineapple Grenade

Original Item: One of a Kind. All of the components of this lovely Trench Art Lighter are Totally inert and demilitarized according to BATF guidelines with hollow body and inert fuses. None of these items can be converted to explosive devices and the lighter is not available for export.

This is a fantastic WWII "Trench Art" lighter, assembled during or after the war as a memento of the conflict. The lighter itself is made from a WWII MkII "Pineapple" Fragmentation grenade, and was made using the original fuse mechanism. The lighter has a flint spark wheel mechanism installed into the fuze, with the top being removable to allow the filling of lighter fluid & a wick. The wick is very worn down and would require a replacement for use. The grenade has been repainted black but much of the paint is worn.

We have not tested it, but see no reason why without a proper servicing it would not function correctly as a lighter! Ready to display!
