Original U.S. WWII USAAF First Aid Kit Individual Aircrew - Lot of Two with Minor Contents

Original Items. Only One Lot Available. Packet, First Aid, Individual Aircrew Member.  Designed for issue to each airman.  Used primarily by fighter pilots after the 'Kit, First Aid, Aeronautic' was removed from use in fighter planes during the course of the war. It contained a small dressing, wound tablets, other medications and safety pins.

This is a lovely lot of two kits, although one is just the empty tin. The non-empty tin still retains a bottle of Water-purifying Halazone tablets, a small field brown first-aid dressing by Johnson & Johnson, and a sealed pack of 5 grams of Sterilized Sulfanilamide. 

Both tins retain their interior contents label. The lid of each tin reads:
