$88.50The Story
Original Items. Only One Lot Available. Packet, First Aid, Individual Aircrew Member. Â Designed for issue to each airman. Â Used primarily by fighter pilots after the 'Kit, First Aid, Aeronautic' was removed from use in fighter planes during the course of the war. It contained a small dressing, wound tablets, other medications and safety pins.
This is a lovely lot of two kits, although one is just the empty tin. The non-empty tin still retains a bottle of Water-purifying Halazone tablets, a small field brown first-aid dressing by Johnson & Johnson, and a sealed pack of 5 grams of Sterilized Sulfanilamide.Â
Both tins retain their interior contents label. The lid of each tin reads:
PACKET, FIRST AID, INDIVIDUAL
AIRCREW MEMBER
