Original U.S. WWII USMC Extremely Worn and Torn Shelter Half Poncho with Airman School Stencils - Very Large Tear in Material - Reversible Camouflage

Original Item: Only One Available. Double sided, rectangular panel with a pointed end on each side. Two Marines could button the sections together in order to make a tent. This example is likely the most worn we have offered with a very large tear in the material, but the stenciled markings do make it a good field-worn example. 

There are no tags retained we could find, and the grommets all have extreme wear and verdigris. The following stenciled markings are found on the poncho:

Worthy of further research. This won’t look great displayed on a mannequin, but it will display fine with the markings visible to show that it is a good wartime-used piece.
