Both in terms of quality and quantity the power of American industry kept the GI’s well supplied. The Marine Corps had their own issued equipment with a lot of crossover between branches.
This outstanding USMC WWII M-1911 Pistol belt rig comes fully equipped and ready to display. The items include:
- Rare M-1923 USMC-marked pistol belt,Â
- USMC M1 Carbine magazine pouch with one M1 Carbine magazine and one M-1911 pistol magazine inside. The pouch was designed to hold either. Marked BOYT 45.
- M1911 Pistol Holster by Boyt, dated 1942. Good shape.
- M1942 First Aid Pouch with opened dressing in cardboard packaging. Dressing is by Lily White Sales Co., and pouch is by R.M.T. Co. dated 1942.
- P-41 suspenders, rare, some faint markings but good shape overall.
- Rare M1942 Black Porcelain Enamel Canteen in 3rd Pattern USMC Carrier. The carrier is the 3rd pattern meaning it has the bunny rabbit ears but no hole in the bottom. The canteen has heavy chipping of the porcelain but is stamped in white ink U.S. / U.S.S. CO. / 1942. The cup is present and in worn condition, marked U.S. / B.E. CO. / 1943. Great set.
