The Story

Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a great small-size German photo album from World War I, measuring 8 1/4 x 5 3/8 x 1”, featuring a great assortment of 36 photos and postcards. The photos include several photos of soldiers in the field wearing M1907 Feldmutzes with the rare camouflage hat bands. There are some photos of several men with their units, and a great band photo. But our favorite photo in the set depicts five soldiers posing for a photograph while in the background, a sixth soldier stands jaw-dropped as his comrades didn’t wait for him to finish taking a wizz to take the photo!

The front of the album has a 1914 Iron Cross with the caption, Kriegs Erinnerungen (War Memories). The album is held together with a green braided string, a great patriotic piece.

A really great German WWI album with lots of research potential. Comes ready for further research and display.
