The Story

Original Item: Only One Available. Fliegen und Siegen: Ein Raumbildwerk von unserer Luftwaffe (Flying and Victories: A Space Picture of our Luftwaffe).

München: Raumbild-Verlag Otto Schönstein, (1942). Hardcover. 4to. 88 pp. Blue cloth with blue lettering on cover and spine. Beveled edges. 100 Black/White stereographs (photos) and stereoscope glasses stored in pockets inside the front and rear covers. Captivating Raumbild-Album documenting the story of the Luftwaffe in AH's Germany and its battles in WWII up until 1942.

Illustrated with 8 full page reproductions of color photographs by Kriegsberichter Wanderer, Breu, Sturm, Weixler, as well as a color illustration of Hermann Göring after a painting by H. Funk. Stereographs by Weixler, Eitel Lange, and Aubele.

Stereographs show Göring with Ernst Udet, Generalfeldmarschall Kesselring, General der Flieger Jeschonnek, Oberst Mölders, Hauptmann Jope, Hauptmann Joppien, the Stuka Ju 87, Focke-Wulf "Condor", ME 109, Ju 52, seaplanes, bombers, parachuters, as well as many other images. "Herausgegeben von Dr. Heinz Orlovius, Ministerialrat im Reichsluftfahrtsministerium."

Text in German. Some age toning to outer edges of leaves. Overall very good condition but spine is splitting. Complete Raumbild-Album with all photographs present.

The effect of viewing the images through the special viewer is wonderful. The early days of 3D. A truly rare and wonderful piece of Luftwaffe ephemera.
