Original German WWII Set of 5 Maps of Military Geographical Information on European Russia / Ukraine including Kiev and Sevastopol - Marked to Artillerie-Regiment 74 - Dated 1941
The Story
Original Items. Only One Set Available. This is a very rough set of German-made maps of Ukraine, referred to here as “European Russia”, with five of the original twelve maps still retained. They are contained in the original sleeve which shows heavy tearing and wear. There is a period inscription on the interior of the sleeve dated July 17th, 1941, which includes a unit marking, A.R. 74, for Artillerie-Regiment 74 of 2. Panzer-Division.
The five maps included are the Kharkov City Map 1:15,000, the City Map of Sevastopol 1:10,000, the Military Geographical Plan of Kiev 1:25,000, the City Map of Stanislau (Stanislawow) 1:10,000, and the City Map of Nikolaev and Surroundings 1:25,000. All five maps are in good condition with heavy fold markings and some tearing along the fold marks as shown.
The Sevastopol map is roughly 27 x 47”, and we assume the rest are around the same size. A great set of unit-marked maps, ready for further research and display!
