Original Imperial German WWI Cigarette Card Photo Lot - 24 Total

Original Items. Only One Lot Available. This is a nice lot of 24 cigarette card photographs from the WWI period showing various photos of German soldiers in World War.

The lot includes photos of men marching, soldiers in craters with large artillery, English prisoners working, an aviation soldier attaching aerial drop bombs to a plane, destroyed ambulances, soldiers eating, one shot of men loading a round for the Railway gun, Cossack soldiers with lances on horseback, and soldiers on horseback in gas masks, with their horses also wearing gas masks. They measure 2 ⅜ x 3 ½”.

All cigarette card photos are marked on the back. 23 of the 24 are of the “Der Weltkrieg 1914-1918” Series by Immalin-Werke Mettmann/Rhld. The 24th photo is a small bit larger and shows a German castle on a river, marked on the back “Burg Gutenfels u.d. Pfalz”.
